Scottish Flapjacks

What do u need?
½ cup butter or ½ apple sauce
½ cup apple sauce
¾ cup packed brown sugar 6-7oz max
1 tbs Lyle's Golden Syrup or dark corn syrup – I used maple syrup
2 tbs vanilla
½ tbs almond extract
3 cups old -fashioned oatmeal – 11oz
½ cup rasins or chocolate chips or cranberries or nuts
 1 cup whole wheat flour
 1 egg
 ½ cup sunflower seeds
1 cup melted chocolate

How to do it?
Preheat oven 350F
Line 9x13 inch pan with parchment paper and spray with cooking spray
in a large bowl beat melted butter , brown sugar , syrup , vanilla until blend
add oatmeal and mix
add raisins and mix
transfer into the pan , using your fingers gently press dough into an even layer
bake at 350F for about 30 minutes
remove from oven and let cool down for 10 minutes
cut warm flapjacks into bars and and let cool in pan for about an hour more
remove cooled bars from the pan , breaking any that stick together
enjoy with yogurt
